Simple (Vanilla) Socks

Simple Dishcloth

Sugar & Cream (or equivalent) cotton yarn, Size 9 Single Point Needles (circular can be used)

Stitches Used: K (knit), YO (yarn over), K2TOG (knit 2 together)

  1. Cast on 3 stitches, knit all three stitches.
  2. Knit 2, YO, K1. Turn.
  3. K 2, YO, knit rest of stitches, turn.
  4. Repeat row 3 until your cloth measures 8 to 10 inches across.
  5. K 2, K2TOG, YO, K2TOG, knit rest of stitches.
  6. Repeat row 5 until you have 4 stitches left. K 1, K2TOG, K1.

Now you will bind off. You can cut a long tail and run it through loops to draw closed or, use a knitted bind off as follows: K 2, Bring 1st knit stitch over the second. Knit last stitch. Repeat as before. Cut tail and bring through last stitch, drawing loop closed as tight as possible. Weave in ends.
